CRUSHED TIGER NUTS
Our diced or chopped tigernut is more than just an addition to our product range. These tender and tasty pieces of tigernut are intended for direct consumption and are especially appreciated as a topping for pastries. Like sliced tigernuts, chopped tigernuts can also be used as an ingredient in muesli or cereal mixes. As a source of energy, fiber and vitamin E, they are a suitable choice for developing functional, healthy and natural food products.
Tigernuts has developed a unique process that allows tigernuts to be safely and uniformly chopped. Thanks to a specific adjustment of our machines, the chip size is approximately 2 mm.

CAUTION: All dry particles and nuts will absorb water and expand once submerged, for this reason they MUST all be prepared correctly (soaked for a given time and cooked for a given time). Failure to prepare properly can be deadly to fish.
TO PREPARE: Soak for a minimum of 24 hours then boil vigorously for 30 minutes. If you leave the prepared Tiger nuts in an airtight bucket/container for a few days after boiling, they will start to ferment, the water will turn yellowish/gray as the sugars are released from the nuts.
Note: Once cooked, you can also add liquid foods, oils or bait additives of your choice to add even more attraction.

Like sliced tigernuts, chopped tigernuts can also be used as an ingredient in muesli or cereal mixes.
