After you've chosen the right soft lure, the next question is – which jig head to choose! Choosing the right jig head isn't just about size. All its properties must be considered, as the jig head and soft lure together form a unified whole. “Maximum catch – thanks to perfectly matched components.”
It is for this reason that a special hook shape was developed specifically for Monkey Hooks jig heads. This newly developed hook shape ensures that the hook exits the lure very early, maintaining its flexibility and making it easier for the fish to suck in the lure. Additionally, the hook's exceptionally high bend allows it to get a better hold in the predator's mouth and significantly makes it harder for the fish to escape. Furthermore, the eyelet is positioned close to the jig head, regardless of weight, which prevents the hook from snagging in weeds.
We consciously chose to use a lure holder instead of a lead nose. This makes our Monkey Hook suitable for delicate lures too, as they won't tear. The holder also ensures that the soft lure stays firmly on the hook and won't slip off safely during casting or when a fish bites. The weight of each jig head is clearly indicated, which makes it easy to organize them in your tackle box.
As the saying goes – we also eat with our eyes. The same applies to our local predators. That's why Monkey Hook jig heads are additionally painted in attractive colors. Depending on the water clarity and the predators' mood, you can choose either high or low contrast between the jig head and the lure.
Many predators attack the lure during its sinking phase. To create additional appeal, Monkey Hook jig heads are also painted with a second color on the underside.
