After you've chosen the right soft lure, the next question is – which jig head to choose! When selecting a suitable jig head, it's not just about choosing the right size. All features of the jig head must be taken into account, as the jig head and the soft lure form a unified whole.
“Maximum catch success – thanks to perfectly matched components.”
Precisely for this reason, Monkey Hooks developed a special hook shape. The new hook shape ensures that the hook exits the lure very early – thus the lure remains flexible and is more easily inhaled by the fish. Furthermore, the hook has a particularly high curvature, allowing it to penetrate deeper into the predator's mouth and significantly making it harder to spit out. Also, the eyelet, regardless of the jig head's weight, is positioned close to the head. This helps to avoid bothersome weed collection.
We deliberately opted out of a lead "nose" and chose a baitholder. This means that our Monkey Hook is also suitable for delicate lures, as they no longer tear. The baitholder additionally ensures that the soft lure stays firmly on the hook and does not accidentally slip or slide off during casting or a bite. The weight is indicated on each jig head, which facilitates sorting them in tackle boxes.
As is well known, the eyes "eat along." This also applies to our local predators. Therefore, Monkey Hook jig heads are painted in attractive colors. Depending on the water turbidity and the predator's mood, a higher or lower contrast between the jig head and the lure can be chosen.
