GIANT MAIZE

As we previously warned, it is very important to properly prepare the grains before using them as bait, as improperly prepared or raw grains can be particularly harmful to carp. Maize is one of those products that requires more careful preparation, but then it becomes one of the most effective baits. This maize is not a genetically modified product; it comes from the Andean region of Peru, and its size ranges from 18 to 24 mm.

Soak the maize overnight in a sealed container using cool water. The size of the maize will increase due to rehydration, so pour in enough water to reach 6 or 7 cm above the maize level to ensure complete rehydration.

Recommended soaking time: 24 hours

After this, the product will still be hard, so next, place it in a pressure cooker with some water. This water must boil vigorously for at least the first 30 minutes.

Recommended boiling time: 40 minutes

Once the maize has settled and cooled to room temperature, place it in an airtight container where it will be left overnight to facilitate the germination process as particle fermentation begins. Approximately 48 hours are required for optimal fermentation.
