Compared to classic TONAR ice augers, the "HELIOS" ice auger is equipped with a plastic wing nut with a steel core and plastic handles that were used in TONAR ice augers until 2014. The tested, durable locking system prevents wobbling even after many years of use. The result is a reliable, excellent quality Helios ice auger at a reasonable price. It became the second most popular, second only to the classic LR-130D.
If necessary, this auger can be extended with an ice auger extension UD-400 or UD-250, significantly increasing the drilling depth. A set of HELIOS 130 semi-circular blades, both standard and for wet ice, can also be purchased for this model.
