Jig head or offset hook?
A conventional exposed-hook jig head is simple and provides direct lure contact, suiting cleaner bottoms and open water. Offset hooks suit weeds, branches and other obstacles, as the point can be hidden inside the soft plastic or lightly nicked into its surface. This reduces snagging without eliminating it and requires correct rigging.
BKK Chimera is a wide-gape offset hook particularly suited to bulky creature baits and Texas rigs. Ensure the plastic can compress freely during a bite to expose the point. Select weighting separately according to rig type and fishing depth.
