How do you choose the correct offset hook size for a soft plastic?
Choose by lure length and especially body thickness. Lay the hook beside the lure and check that it will not restrict the tail and leaves room between the body and bend for compression. Too little gape prevents the point from exposing. The same size number does not guarantee the same shape across models.
BKK Titan Diver comes in several sizes for weedless soft-plastic rigs. Match hook weight and the retaining component to the lure's size too. Mount the lure straight without bending its body. Before casting, compress it towards the bend and check that the point exposes freely; burying the point too deeply reduces hooking.
