The new Shimano Kairiki 8 is an updated 8-strand braided line, made in Japan, now utilizing the “VT Construction Method” braiding technology. It's a very durable and smooth PE line, perfectly suited for long casts. Available in diameters from 0.06 mm to 0.42 mm, with an impressive breaking strength of up to 46.7 kg.
The line is ideally suited for spinning in both freshwater and saltwater conditions – it is very sensitive and extremely quiet, thanks to its smooth structure which significantly reduces noise. In addition to the existing colors Mantis Green and Steel Grey, two new ones are also available: Yellow (bright yellow) and Multi Color. The multi-color version is especially useful for fishing in greater depths.
Thanks to its smoothness and small diameter, Kairiki 8 is an excellent choice for jigging – it has very low water resistance and a maximum stretch of < 3.0%, ensuring high sensitivity.
