The Megabass Baby Pop X BFS Popper is a small-sized popper, created based on the legendary POPX model. The original POP-X, introduced in 1996, changed the world of topwater fishing with its unique water-displacement cup and patented balancing system. Capable of acting both as a traditional popper and a "pop-walker" style lure, the POPX remains a favorite among anglers and fish alike.
Inspired by this rich DNA, the Megabass Baby Pop X BFS Popper was scaled down to fit into Yuki Ito's personal arsenal and to keep his beloved popper fishing even when bites are scarce. With a sculpted cup and a centrally positioned line tie, the Baby Pop X BFS Popper creates bubble trails with splashes that attract predators from the depths. When using appropriate BFS gear, small movements make the Baby Pop X move with a "pop-walk" effect, virtually without moving forward – ideal for coaxing bites from specific spots.
With a perfect balance of hydrodynamic and aerodynamic shape, the tail-shifted weight allows the lure to be cast much further than its size would suggest. This provides an undetectable approach in clear shallows where fish are easily spooked.
