The DAIWA Pro Staff series was created in close cooperation with DAIWA team anglers Nils Gabsa, Marten Laciny, Adrian Prus, Sebastian Bischof and Marcel Asbroek. During the development phase, our experts spent a lot of time on the water, testing numerous prototypes until the perfect specialized rods were created! The action of the blanks, the components used, technologies and construction details, such as handle lengths, were precisely tailored to the needs of perch/zander, vertical, pelagic, and pike/big bait fishing specialists.
To meet the high demands of the team anglers, DAIWA integrated several leading technologies into these rods. The HVF Nanoplus carbon fiber material allows for very light, slim, fast, and at the same time extremely durable blanks. By adding nanoparticles, the already low resin content was further reduced, making the blanks even lighter and faster!
The X45 carbon fiber construction improves blank compression due to the special arrangement of the carbon fibers – the blank is highly resistant to torsion, ensuring more precise casts and complete control during the fight and lure presentation. In addition, the rods' susceptibility to breakage is significantly reduced.
V-Joint technology includes a special BIAS carbon fiber layer on the joints, developed exclusively by DAIWA. This special material makes the naturally most sensitive part of the rod extremely durable and at the same time significantly improves the blank's bending curve.
Special attention was also paid to the rods' balance – the handle construction, the selection of high-quality and very light Fuji Alconite K-rings, and the materials used ensure a perfect feel of the rod and allow for long periods of fishing without fatigue.

The Pro Staff Pelagic is equipped with a very stiff blank and a spiral guide arrangement. Large and heavy soft lures can be guided perfectly, and the special ring positioning prevents the line from tangling on the tip ring in strong waves and wind – thus pelagic fish can be caught quickly and safely! The 1+1 blank division ensures extra stability and a perfect bending curve even under extreme loads. Equipped with a Fuji ACS baitcast reel seat, this rod is designed exclusively for fishing from a belly boat, kayak, or motorboat with multiplier and baitcast reels.
