AG 18g
A very effective lure, perfectly suited for jigging. The blade continuously rotates during descent, and the light reflections and vibrations provoke aggressive strikes from fish. These characteristics are especially important when fishing for predators in murky water and at great depths. The 18g weight and size make it versatile for catching various species: perch, pike, zander, chub, and trout. The optimal fishing depth is 1–5 m.
NOTE: JIGGING METHOD
When jigging, try to control the lure with the rod, not the reel. During the descent phase, lower the rod tip towards the lure. This technique has several advantages:
-
A lowered rod tip reduces pressure on the lure, allowing the fish to take it more easily.
-
Better lure control ensures more effective hook sets.
Spintail lure group
The second group of lures in our assortment is spintails, whose popularity is growing every year. This lure was originally developed in the USA for bass fishing and quickly gained immense popularity. It soon became clear that it also worked very well for other predators. Its popularity continues to grow in Europe as well. In Poland, this lure is often called a "spintaik" or even a "secret weapon". After many tests, SPINMAD developed its own version of this versatile lure.
Versatility-defining characteristics:
• Compact design for long casts
• Continuous blade rotation in all retrieval techniques
• Ability to fish the entire water column with one lure
• Does not twist the line during operation
• Strong vibrations that are well felt by the angler
• Rotating blade slows down the sink rate
• Excellent performance both near the surface and at depth when jigging or in free fall
When fish are active, they can be caught with many lures, but when they are passive, a stronger stimulus is needed – this is exactly what spintails provide. The rotating blade transfers vibration to the lure's body, creating additional irritation. Anyone who fishes for pike, perch, chub, or trout should have SPINMAD spintails in their arsenal.
Three main retrieval methods:
• Steady retrieve through water zones
• Jigging at depth, lifting and lowering the rod while simultaneously reeling in the line
• Classic "drop" - two to three turns of the reel and letting the lure drop until it contacts the bottom
Spintail action in water
The vibrating body and rotating blade attract fish even with a very simple, classic retrieve. However, its full potential is unleashed in deeper areas when jigging or in technically challenging sectors.
Spintail advantages:
• Incredible casting distance, unmatched by other lures
• Design allows fishing the entire water column
• Does not twist the line during operation
• Works perfectly in areas with aquatic vegetation
• Vibrations are very well felt by the angler
