MAG 6 g

A small lure, ideally suited for jigging in rivers and lakes. On descent, the blade continuously spins, and the reflections and vibrations provoke predatory fish into an aggressive attack. These characteristics are particularly useful when fishing for predators in murky water or at great depths. MAG is designed for perch, trout, pike, and chub. The optimal working depth is 1–3 m. An ideal model to start your adventure with tail spinners.

NOTE: HOW TO INCREASE STRIKE EFFICIENCY

When fishing in shallow waters, anglers often use a steady retrieve, but a fast, steady retrieve with a tail spinner can make it difficult to hook the fish, often resulting in low strike efficiency. If possible, turn the treble hook so that the prongs face downwards — this will significantly increase the strike rate. However, when the lure is retrieved against the current in a river or when jigging, this trick is not necessary.

The second group of lures in our range is tail spinners, whose following grows every year. This lure was developed in the USA for bass fishing and quickly gained immense popularity. Soon it became clear that it is also very effective in catching other predators. In Europe, its popularity continues to grow rapidly. In Poland, this lure is usually called a “spinning tail,” but in many spinning circles, it's called a “secret weapon.” After many tests, the company SPINMAD created its own line of this versatile lure.

Features that determine its versatility:

• compact design for long casts;
• the blade rotates continuously with any retrieve technique;
• one lure can fish all water layers;
• does not twist the line during operation;
• vibration is perfectly felt by the angler;
• rotation reduces the lure's sinking speed;
• perfectly suited for topwater fishing, jigging, and "drop" technique.

When fish are active, they will strike almost any lure, but on passive days, a stronger stimulus is needed – this is where the tail spinner is the right solution. The rotating blade transfers vibrations to the lure body, creating a strong irritating effect. For an angler specifically targeting pike, asp, perch, or trout, SPINMAD tail spinners are an essential part of their arsenal.

Three basic ways to retrieve a tail spinner:

Steady retrieve in the chosen water layer;
Jigging at depth, lifting the rod and simultaneously working the reel;
Classic "drop" — two or three reel turns and free fall to the bottom.

Rotation and action in water

The vibrating body and rotating blade attract fish even with a simple, classic retrieve. However, the real advantages become apparent when jigging in deeper and technically challenging spots.

Advantages of tail spinners:

• excellent casting distance, unmatched by other lures;
• the design allows fishing of all water layers;
• does not twist the line during operation;
• perfectly suited for areas with aquatic vegetation;
• vibration is very well felt by the angler.
