The name HOT SPOD refers to a series of lines designed primarily for "bottoming" or delivering bait to a selected spot on the bottom of a body of water. HOT SPOD 8X is braided from 8 PE fibers, which provides excellent resistance to stress and abrasion. Compared to lines braided from 4 fibers, this line has a much smoother surface.
Thanks to the combination of these properties – small diameter and flexibility – the line easily unwinds from the spool during casts and practically creates no resistance when passing through the rod guides. At the same time, it has sufficient strength to ensure long casts with heavy bait rockets. As the line does not stretch, it can also be perfectly used with a marker to determine the structure and depth of the water bottom.
