Daiwa 23 Fuego LT reels represent an evolutionary step in the development of a relatively new model line. The models have become even lighter than their predecessors. The Light & Tough concept is already firmly established in most Daiwa reel models. The main criteria of the concept are to reduce size and weight while maintaining and even increasing the power and dynamic characteristics of the mechanism. The '23 Fuego LT model has 6 high-quality ball bearings in the main mechanism and one roller bearing. The Zaion V body and rotor are lightweight yet extremely durable. The legendary Magsealed system, used in the Daiwa 23 Fuego LT models, provides reliable protection of the mechanism from moisture and contamination, and ensures a long service life of the main bearings without the need for maintenance. Additional reliability of the mechanism is achieved by the handle design, which is screwed into the drive gear. The ultra-light and stiff rotor, manufactured using Air Rotor technology, contributes to smooth and easy movement of the mechanism without bumps and vibration, with minimal inertia. Like most new models, Daiwa 23 Fuego LT reels feature the new thin bail and a lightweight aluminum spool with an innovative ATD system friction mechanism. Thanks to the wide range of standard sizes offered, Daiwa Fuego LT series reels can be equipped with almost any class of tackle.

AIRDRIVE DESIGN: a new quality standard.
The rotor and bail of the new Fuego are AIRDRIVE type: totally new and designed to limit rotational inertia to a minimum. Thanks to the new structure, the rotor (built in ZAION V, a special carbon composite) is now 40% lighter but even more resistant. This translates into an even smoother rotation, with reduced inertia and capable of giving greater control to the movement of the bait during retrieval.
The bail is also now designed to improve anti-tangle performance: tangles are reduced to a minimum, thanks to the shape of the bail which allows the line to slide and return to the correct position in the blink of an eye. A feature further facilitated by the new Twist Buster 3 line roller, equipped with an additional groove capable of better holding the line in position.
Magsealed technology
A special magnetized oil membrane, an exclusive Daiwa technology, protects the internal mechanics, reducing the penetration of dirt and salt inside the body. An effective protection to improve the durability of the reel, especially for those fishing in a marine environment.
New ATD clutch - L
The new Fuego is equipped with Automatic Tournament Drag Type - L, a new generation drag, even more progressive and precise than in the past.
The vast assortment of sizes (from 1000 to 6000), together with sturdiness, compactness and resistance to salt water make the Fuego the ideal reel for the most diverse fishing techniques, including demanding ones in salt water.
