Daiwa 23 Fuego LT reels represent an evolutionary step in the development of a relatively new model line. The models have become even lighter than their predecessors. The Light & Tough concept has already firmly established itself in most Daiwa reel models. The main criteria of the concept are to reduce size and weight while maintaining and even increasing the power and dynamic characteristics of the mechanism. The '23 Fuego LT model has 6 high-quality ball bearings in the main mechanism and one roller bearing. The Zaion V body and rotor are lightweight yet extremely durable. The legendary Magsealed system, used in the Daiwa 23 Fuego LT models, provides reliable protection of the mechanism from moisture and contamination, and ensures a long service life of the main bearings without the need for maintenance. Additional reliability of the mechanism is achieved by the handle design, which is screwed into the drive gear. The ultra-light and rigid rotor, made using Air Rotor technology, contributes to smooth and easy movement of the mechanism without shocks and vibration with minimal inertia. Like most new models, Daiwa 23 Fuego LT reels feature the new thin bail arm and a lightweight aluminum spool with an innovative ATD system friction mechanism. Thanks to the wide range of standard sizes offered, Daiwa Fuego LT series reels can be equipped for almost any class of tackle.

The new Airdrive rotor ensures weight reduction in the front part of the reel, thus offering optimized balance and lighter starting resistance. The low starting resistance leads to better control when fishing, more sensitivity and a better bait feel.
The new airdrive bar is lighter than before, extremely resilient and, in conjunction with the new bar arm, there are significantly fewer tangles when casting.
The strong Tough Digigear gear runs silky smoothly and is mounted in the roller body made of Zaion V material in a torsion-proof manner.
The Magsealed construction reliably prevents salt water and dirt particles from penetrating the axle and ensures a long service life.
The Twistbuster III construction on the line roller ensures that braided line in particular is not flattened when winding and that there is less twist.
The new ATD Type-L brake ensures optimal and constant line release under load without high initial resistance.
