Compared to the previous model, the 23' Ninja has improved key features. Thanks to the new, lightweight Airdrive Design rotor, the reel's balance has shifted from the front to its bottom, thus improving overall balance.
The new Airdrive bail used in the reel is significantly lighter than in the previous model, and in combination with the new line roller, which is supplemented with a protective cap, prevents possible line tangling during casting. If there is a possibility that the line might wrap around the line roller during casting, the protective cap completely prevents this, and with a turn of the handle, the line returns to the desired place.
The integrated and improved ATD Type-L drag system ensures significantly greater braking force and smooth line release even under increased load, which is especially necessary when a large catch is hooked.
In addition to the new improvements, this reel also retains the highly-regarded Daiwa technologies – the LT (Light & Tough) concept, which significantly reduces the reel's weight. Tough Digigear (enlarged main gears), typically used only in more expensive reels, ensures excellent power distribution.
