What is the original "ASURA O.S.P"?
The original "ASURA O.S.P" was released in spring 2001 and has been produced every year since. The mold has now reached the end of its lifespan. There is a reason why the original "ASURA O.S.P" has never allowed other competitors to catch up and has long maintained its status.

"ASURA O.S.P" was the first 9 cm class lure to use three hooks. At the same time, they never tangle with each other, even if the front hook is positioned rearward, which prevents line entanglement.

Although its body is slim, the weight ball moves to the tail due to the low hook hanger. The hook-up rate improved because each hook point faces symmetrically, which is achieved by the sideways-positioned hook hanger.

It was very difficult to balance both simple winding and twitching ability, and so it was sometimes neglected. However, this was resolved by introducing a later-inserted lip that can maintain strength even with a thin root. "ASURA O.S.P", equipped with full functions that leave other baits behind, has been a leader for a long time.
"ASURA O.S.P II" is reborn in 2019
When we started renewing the mold, there was an option to follow the same design as the original "ASURA O.S.P". But we chose a different design to adapt to the latest bass conditions and catch more fish, making the most of the development technologies cultivated so far. By changing the lip, the fluttering motion created during fast retrieval is natural, and sharp twitching that includes a momentary pause for quick movement is achieved. The lip of the original "ASURA O.S.P" was inserted afterward. Therefore, part of the lip had to be inside the body. And to strengthen the lip, a certain amount of resin was needed. Therefore, the original "ASURA O.S.P" has a forward-leaning posture. Furthermore, strong eye adjustment is necessary due to the left-right gap of the lip caused by the left-right clearance. Straightness is improved with an integrated lip and the floating posture is horizontal. The fixed weight was also changed from a round ball to a plate weight with a low center of gravity. Improved stable swimming with simple winding and resistance to tipping over. The hooks were changed from heavy wire to regular wire to ensure weak hook-ups. Rewriting new performance for catching modern bass, while inheriting the high performance of the original and further developing it – this is "ASURA O.S.P II".
